Well, I understand the creator of this topic. Music is big big party of my life and I cannot imagine daily life without the music. I am addicted to metal music. Mostly black, thrash, death and etc. I fell in love with Rammstein now for 10 years. But lately, I've been involved in some chillout tracks, erotic music and similar stuff. It depends on my mood sometimes.

IF I start to write here my favourite artists, I could write 2 days \:D

So, I'll just say, the music is the gift from our Lord!

When I was younger I was really into black metal, I picked up a bass at about 15, some around 13 years ago. While I still like it, my tastes have matured and expanded as I've gotten older and developed an interest in more and more music. So I've gotten to where I like a little bit of everything in music, even some rap and country. Optimally though, the band that's influenced me the most in the last 6 - 9 years was a psychedelic hard rock band from the Netherlands called The Devil's Blood. I've gotten interested more in contemporary funk and jazz, and gotten to where I've started to like even late Romantic period music.

There are tons of music I like.

1. Classical: the usual suspects Bach, Beethoven, Krieger, Purcell, Wagner, etc.

2. Metal: mostly black, black-trash, black-folk, folk.

3. Electro: not your usual electro, but 'dark electro' like VNV Nation, Covenant, Hocico, etc.

Itís currently 10.16am, on Sunday, in Sydney. It is a cool, clear, sunny, late winter morning. I am having my first coffee of the day.

I am listening to this magic: Getz/Gilberto (1963) - Bossa Nova and Jazz.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KpIV57PSeo

I listen to Minnie Riperton late at night. She was a beauty with a dreamy floating voice.

Come to My Garden (1970)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwUV9ln3Oic

Perfect Angel (1974)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2r-kb80hVlA

I think Minnie is my favourite female singer. I love Nina Simone, Amy Winehouse, Mavis Staples, Annie Lennox, and Etta James, but I think Minnie is my favourite.

Really?

You have LA Guns but not Hollywood Rose, How can you list one and not the other?

Just fucking with you, a lot of musician change bands or form new ones. Like Nirvana's drummer did with the Foo Fighters.

Here's one of their best songs.

Though I'm well aware of Hollywood Rose (pre L.A. Guns band that included Tracii Guns and Axl Rose), I've admittedly ceased to pick up any of their stuff. By the time that stuff surfaced onto disc, I wasn't interested in glam metal as much then. I have, however checked out some of that stuff online since then, and damn, it does fucking rock.

You can go to poisonappleradio.com and just scroll through. The songs should be apparent apart from the podcast and other spoken word pieces.

SIN, I know this is an old thread but, are there any good contemporary artists that perform Murder Ballads these days? Any tip will be appreciated.
