Greetings:

I was wondering if anyone is familiar with the Qliphothic system of Magick or anything similar. I have been studying the Qliphothic 'Tree of Death' in the work of Michael W. Ford and Kenneth Grant for quite some time now but have yet to put my work into actual practice. So I was curious to know if anyone has worked with this system - How were your results? Would you have any suggestions? Warnings? Etc..
Also, I have noticed that literature on the Qliphoth is extremely rare - so if anyone knows of any other books out there that may be of help, please let me know. Otherwise, I'd love to hear your thoughts, opinions and advice on the Qliphoth and related subjects.

yes. KG used to make me feel stupid every time I read his work, but eventually i discovered, after working the system myself, that he is in fact slightly crazy, and prone to making connections between numbers, symbols, dates etc that are neither here nor there. I do enjoy his writing and I appreciate and respect his efforts, yet his anti-linear style leaves something for the beginner to be desired.
also, much of Grants (and Fords)work depends too much on the practitioners tendency towards lucid dreaming and astral travel.. which, lets face it, not everyone excels at.

personally I found that good old boring Goetia fulfilled my needs better than the back end of the tree of life.

maybe check out "Qabalah, Qliphoth and Goetic Magic" by thomas karlsson, or "Gnostic Kabbalah 1" by Theleme Press, or for some cage fighting style magic check out Joseph C. Lisiewski... Goetic sorcery par excellance.

I probably cannot be of much help other than this because in the past couple years I have rejected all forms of judeochristian mysticism or basically anything considered a part of the western mystery tradition.
but good luck. let us know how it transpires.

invoking the guardians of this density........ some balls on this guy eh? j/k

According to rosicrucian legend, the last human who was successful in contacting this order of beings was John Dee. You might look into John Dee's enochian magic and his methods - I have a strong feeling that qliphothic magic is at the heart of his more esoteric work under the label of "enochian"

Here are a good place to start looking for john dee material:

Now we've got your I's capitilized Damien, can we possibly get you to use the correct comma also? It's next to your pinky, the one you use when you are indicating a removal of letters.

What's old fashioned about bad grammer Daian? It just makes it distracting and one spends more time looking at how something is written rather than WHAT was written. I realise that a certain amount of mistakes happen to all of us, however.......

If you are interested on the qliffotic magic try it at the Order Dragon Rouge ( http://www.dragonrouge.net )- its an order that works especially with odinistic runosophy, qlifoth, alchemy, traditional demonology and with other system of the so-called black arts ;\)

Qliphhoth, yeah, that's a great place to start.

Here's a better idea - wrap a gold brick in lemon rind and smack yourself in the head a bunch of times.

Goetia is not "evil" enough? What do you stand to gain? Have you evoked any of the "Goetic" "entities"? Or any from any sort of grimoire? Have you created an egregore? Do you know how to travel "astrally"?

Turn the car on, before you put it in drive, my friend.

Otherwise, have at thee. And good luck.

I found this:

http://www.amazon.com/Liber-Hvhi-Adversary-Michael-Ford/dp/1411660862/ref=cm_cr_pr_pb_i

LIBER HVHI, the awaited grimoire of the Luciferian Path is now published containing the infernal rites of the Qlippoth, an extensive ideological and magical system presenting a grounded and understandable form of working with the Qlippothic Tree of Da'ath and tunnels. The second part of the grimoire is based on the ritualistic inversions of the Avestan texts and the forbidden path of Predatory Spiritualism. LIBER HVHI contains the 22 spheres of the Infernal Qlippoth, the methods of filling and draining those "shells" and the Luciferian Rites of the Supper of Cain, symbolic of the first Satanist from the ancient Hebrew texts relating to the devouring process from a symbolic and ritualistic approach. The second half of Liber HVHI is the workings based on the demonology of the Avestan texts and ancient persian sorcery and predatory spirituality.

From the Author
Liber HVHI provides a powerful initiatory system based on inversion rituals of the Avesta and Cabbalistic workings centering on the Qlippoth. Liber HVHI was written to redefine the Adversary as a force of change, strength and using chaos sorcery to become Adept in the gnosis of Ahriman and Az.

I personally find Ford to be too pornographic for my taste. Blatant shock value, I find it tacky. The more I look into Kundalini, the more his "Aramanic Yoga" looks like a dead-on perversion of that as well... Which makes him seem...

Well, let's put it this way. His method goes as followed

Take something, invert it, slap my name on it. Fill it full of shock value and pander to stereotypes for good measure. He is very good for reference material... When he's not being all "SWEAR TO SATAN!" he is full of great substance.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to find any qlipothic stuff to cross-reference Mr. Ford with and I haven't been fortunate to come across Mr. Grant yet... But I shall.

Indeed, Liber HVHI???? How about Liber Heh Vau Heh Yod (HVHY - same shit, anyway) - a complete inversion of the IHVH, Yod Heh Vau Heh (YHVH) corrupted as Yehovah, or Jehovah, and YHVH, same, as Yahweh or Yaweh. Nicely done. 22 paths of "death" or "Da'ath"? Just like the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet, of course, inverted, or perverted...

Why not just call a spade a spade (no offense meant, Shamone)?

This is not the first time I've seen Jewish mysticism or Christian Ideology turned on its head and shaken 'til it's not even a good martini anymore. Can we not admit, as adults, that at least some of these practices hold some shred of effectiveness? Simply inverting them is akin to saying the "Lord's Prayer" backwards - it's STILL the "Lord's Prayer". I'm sure someone, perhaps myself even (old age) has said this before - the flip side of the coin is the same coin.

Moral of the story - if you use Christian ideology for your gain, then you might as well recognize that's exactly what it is... visualizing Leviathan instead of Gabriel (sorry, not up to date on my blasphemous 777) doesn't make a bit of difference in the LBRP - unless that's what floats your boat.

Good luck, Heretical Christians everywhere... I got your back... maybe.

And... if you're into that... please go find some communion wafers and piss all over them - that would be a nice touch.

Ditto. I've pretty much seen almost everything Ford has written- hundreds upon hundreds of pages (quite easy to pirate, actually)- and it's all a giant load of crap void of anything meaningful. He's too fond of throwing around fancy-sounding names and completely ignoring their original context, taking jewish/chrstian rituals and slapping "OMGSATAN" over them. If a random deity from any culture has any remote connection to "evil" or "demons" he will enthrone it as some great satanic principle. GA-AAAAY.

Oh, and while I'm at it, his books are designed in the most horrid, amateurish way possible. I think he gets his girlfriend or something to draw them- and she is clearly a terrible artist. The illustrations look like psuedo-occult doodles drawn by a bored high-schooler during history class- and slapped in the PDF rather sloppily. And don't get me started about the covers.

Brilliant. I spit beer reading your responses. So I think the next time I am in Texas, you owe me a beer. I want it hand delivered.

I'll make you a Texas-sized Margarita...

Then we can go on to the Tequila shots... with a beer chaser, Mexican beer, of course...
