My doctor is Indian. When I was in the emergency room for my finger, they asked me for the name of my doctor. I can't pronounce it or spell it. I told them, just throw a bunch of random letters at the wall, whatever sticks is probably his name. My wife changed her doctor to one of the only US born ones working at our center. I should probably do the same. Personally, I like being able to pronounce my doctor's name, and understand what he is telling and asking me when I make a visit.

My GP is a woman I have been seeing for neaerly 20 years, so it's usually not an issue.

Actually all of my doctors (I have 3, GP, Oncologist and Radiotherapist) are women. Two of them are from eastern block countries (my onc calls herself the communist oncologist), this guy is a ring in for her.

I agree, being able to pronounce their name and understand them when they talk is high up on the importance list.

I think I'm going to refuse to see this guy. The last registrar was really nice and I didn't mind seeing her is my onc was away. But I think for the first time ever, I'm going to refuse to have a particular doctor work on me. Shit he couldn't even book a scan, imagine if it was something life saving he had to do?

Just for your info, in nyc lots of Indians are clients and like seeing mistresses. They like to be yelled at, and push buttons till you set the boundaries.

Yes, I bet! Actually since my onc kicked his arse, he has been very very nice to me, LOL. I'll certainly keep that in mind when I deal with him from now on (or will that give me the giggles too much?).

This goes through my head every time I have voted since I started voting years ago.

"I think Obama's diplomacy is sorely needed at this time, however, to put this country back in a positive international limelight once more, but his socialist agenda and anti-Second Amendment stance put me off in the deep end."

Obama does seem to be pretty radical in those views. It is a pretty big part of the Democratic agenda. Unfortunately, if he wins with a majority Democratic house and senate, our political agenda will be way too polarized to the Democratic side. This is why I will probably vote for John McCain since I hope it will somewhat keep things in balance.

I hate to make this topic anymore political than it is already getting, but...
I find it funny, the same reason that you are voting for McCain is the same reason that I am voting for Obama. Although I do dislike both candidates. If you look at politics over the last 16 years it has been highly polarized to the republican side of the scale. We first had George Bush Sr. who obviosly is a republican, and hated the middle east as much as his illiterate son does. Then we had Clinton, who while being a democrat, was more controlled by the republican party due to the fact that at the time of his presidency the House of Representatives and the Senate were under a republican majority. And now we have George Bush Jr... I think it is high time we put our country's checks and balances system back into effect and get a democrat in office to hopefully tip the scales. Even if it is only a little bit.

November - Coming - Fire...

So now we slide into the season of Samhain. The night air is crisp and cool.

Tonight, I am at home. No wife - no kids. Strange.

Driving my Jeep down back country roads with the light bar on. Is there a law against that?

Duvel beer. A fine product of Belgium at 8.5% by volume. The 750ml bottle is the perfect size.

I know, I owe many of you an answer to many well considered posts. As you know, if you are doing this right, 'we' live our lives in the real world. Everything in it's own time....

One the reasons why I hate political paper pushers....

In nyc, we have a new Yankee Statium and Mets Statium up and done in a matter of months.
But
After 7+ years there is nothing at the site of the former world trade center.

That is a big ass shame.

More money to be made with the statiums than with a hole in the ground.

Really similar to French politics... the last president de gauche (equivalent to American democrats) we had was Mitterand, from 1981 to 1995 (two 7-year-long mandates). Well, I've been told he was not that good (being born in 1989 it's hard to me to remember him). After him, we had Chirac, who was de droite (equivalent to your republicans), from 1995 to 2007 (one 7-year-long mandate and one 5-year-long, he changed the law during the first). Well... he actually did not do much things, so he was not a great president too. And now we have Sarkozy... the "de droitest" president ever, Bush lover, stupid f***er for who nothing matters but appearances and popularity. That's why I personnally wish that Obama will win the US elections, because their result will have an impact on France (among others), and having a democrat at the White House would probably make Sarkozy break our balls less...

Hope it was not off-topic ;\)

So, my 4 year old asks me "Do you want me to close the browser daddy?"

Next year, he gets to do my taxes....

Ahh, my job. Pays well, I get to do the kind of work I like to do, and it's never boring. However, so far I have missed Motorhead, I will miss the Suicidal Tendencies 25th anniversary, and I will miss Boyd Rice's book signing in Philly. Fuck!

BTW, did you know Boyd Rice is 50? Damn!

I entered my first real life poker tournemant yesterday and came 4th out of about 45 people.

I was really happy with my game, just lucked out in the end, but I was pleased.

It's so different to playing online. Obviously they couldn't read me and I kept em guessing pretty much the whole time.

Awesome. I took down a $60,000 pot last night to push me into the $200k club on myspace. Free poker, I know. Keep rollng with it. I found a person to stake me for a high buy in tournament. Now all I have to do is prove them right. I can do this.

I just had the exact same thing. I was fuckin' pissed! It is a long process to get rid of it and if you are not careful you will have to wipe out your whole comp.

NOTE TO ALL HERE: Antivirus 2009 is a virus! Do not even click cancel.

Morgan, are you still having problems with it? For example when you restart your comp does a "failure to dump" box appear?
