I'm with you on that one, Morgan...I dislike both candidates equally on various levels that I don't even think I can bring myself to vote when the elections roll around. I think Obama's diplomacy is sorely needed at this time, however, to put this country back in a positive international limelight once more, but his socialist agenda and anti-Second Amendment stance put me off in the deep end. McSame/McCain is stuck in the past. Iraq is just another Vietnam in his mind, his wife is a fucking Barbie moron (let's all bake cookies and sing "Kumbaya" kind of woman), and he's even stated on several occasions that economic policy is not his strong suit. One reporter recently remarked that McCain is "out of the loop" with what's going on, both domestically and abroad.
On an unrelated note, since I've gained 10 pounds over the past couple of months, being on a calorie-counting diet seems to be working fairly well. I've been able to keep my daily intake to around 1000 calories, and I've already lost a couple of pounds. I just need to get back down to 125 and things'll be just peachy. Not to mention, my pants'll fit better.

I re-read Clive Barker's Imajica every three or four years, and it is always a completely different story to me. I use this book as a kind of "mile marker" for how my perceptions change over time.
Speaking of books...I have been an avid fan of horror fiction for 25 years or so, but it has only been the last couple of months that I have discovered two fantastic authors who have been putting out books for quite some time.
Richard Laymon
Edward Lee

There's always the option of a write in candidate. While that candidate will never win, it does register. If there is a Libertarian running, I will write their name in. If no Libertarian has declared, then I will simply write "Libertarian". Someone has to count those votes, analyze the data, and report to the parties. If they see an increase in votes for Libertarian, Mickey Mouse, Ralph Nader, it gives them pause to examine why. If a trend is developing, then they will have to take action. It may cause the parties to alter the message and decisions they are taking to attract more members of the fringe who vote this way.

Let's do the time warp again. Last night, while attending the Poison concert, I was made aware that there is a large segment of people my age that never flipped their calendar to the 2000's. Nothing quite like seeing an aging guy with a beer gut, squeezed into spandex, half bald, half hair to his back, wearing eyeliner. The guys were a laugh, the ladies were a riot. Dressing like Britney Spears when you are 45 and toting a 12 year old should not be allowed. I guess they had fun playing dress up for a day and re-living some drunken weekend from the days when we were 17. Note to beer drinkers. When being charged $10 for a 24oz can of beer, opt for the Icehouse. It has a higher percentage of alcohol than the rest and is still the same price. Kind of like getting more bang for the $1.
