There's one big difference between U.S. immigration and European.
As Czereda pointed out, we generally have a higher influx of Muslim immigrants due to the current war in Syria and other parts of the middle-east.
Their lifestyle is, indeed, not compatible unlike the Mexicans. Seeing most of the current influx are considered refugees, they're a drain on the system. I applaud countries like Hungary for giving a big "fuck-you" towards immigration policies.
