This is a fun one.
The assessment concluded with high confidence that the Kremlin ordered an extensive, multi-pronged propaganda effort “to undermine public faith in the US democratic process, denigrate Secretary Clinton, and harm her electability and potential presidency.”
That's that name, underlying confidence. In reality Winner's actions raise public doubt in the legitimacy of the election results, like if a sequestered juror "was influenced". If it was a court of law it wouldn't matter how much was really influenced or to what extent, any amount is enough to declare a mistrial.
I suspect Winner had hoped for something along those lines.
The NSA has done all it could to mitigate the damage of a rogue individual listening to her "conscience", but still this is yet another feather in the cap of the "Impeach Trump" majority...
He doesn't care about _______, you know.

Right. The blackened out copy can be interpreted a number of ways also. The media however will continue to tow the narrative of Russian interference, as if it had some impact on the results of the Electoral College. It didn't.
When they're not screaming for impeachment they are going on about two-scoops of ice-cream, his hand and ramp phobias, wtf. Shit's too comical to take seriously.
Now, it's Trump's destroyed the planet by pulling out of the Paris Accord. Pretty sure Al Gore busted a Gasket Sunday when he was talking about fish swimming in the streets in Miami and Honolulu.

I think the motivation comes from excerpts like this:
The NSA has now learned, however, that Russian government hackers, part of a team with a “cyber espionage mandate specifically directed at U.S. and foreign elections,” focused on parts of the system directly connected to the voter registration process, including a private sector manufacturer of devices that maintain and verify the voter rolls.
As described by the classified NSA report, the Russian plan was simple: pose as an e-voting vendor and trick local government employees into opening Microsoft Word documents invisibly tainted with potent malware that could give hackers full control over the infected computers.
To someone (like myself) it really does sound like a hacker can manipulate registration rolls...
What they can do with that is speculation, but one can also speculate that electors were bought by Snowball II's vote for Sideshow Bob.

If our President was chosen by Popular vote it may be worth looking into but Electorates tend to have their own mindsets and just use the polling results as guidance.
At any rate, what he intel fails to prove is that the phishing was performed by Russian officials in any capacity.

I gave it a listen. The most astute observation made was that the U.S. fails to follow national/international law when it comes to Afghanistan. So why would it when it comes to Russia? [cross thread to Due Process ]
The comments made about ingrained and taught sentiment about Russia are based in truth. You should hear some of the conversations I spark when I wear my Putin shirt. When I ask opposers why they hate Putin or Russia so much, I get the text book responses about communism and his previous career in the KGB. More often than not, they are Bernie supporters. You could kick the elephant in the room, and it would remain unnoticed.
Just this morning on AM radio, the commenters were making fun of Oliver Stone and how far his hand was up Putin's ass. They kept quoting him to have said "Putin is the greatest man I've ever met." then fall back on Stone having no credibility to voice such an opinion because he doesn't believe we landed on the moon.
What a mess. Pretty sad to see so many people fall for the propaganda and tow the party line when it comes to Russia.

Here we are 10 months later, no evidence. It wasn't a hack. Podesta is just an idiot. Now, our government has moved on to obstruction of justice and Trump is right to troll them.

I guess NY and Russia are two different places. It was a joke that went nowhere. But hey, how often do these threads really stay on topic? What fun would that be?
The whole thing with Russia comes down to resources, that's all it is. We're two different cultures, but we share common interest in how we live in an industrial sense.

You might as well fuck with people. About all their damn good for sometimes is a laugh.
Just last night I got bored, stared conversation at the bar, got along great with some people and encouraged them to be loud and obnoxious, and they did!
One guy in particular, we had shared interests, got along, made loud drunk imitations of comedians and whatnot. As our drunken conversation got more into life and death, he asked me about souls. I said I don't believe in souls, I believe in the here and now is what you make it. I told him I am self centred and self concerned, no greater good in my book. The world is what it is. I don't believe in god, basically.
Ho. Lee. Shit.
I mentioned Frederick Nietzsche and existentialism because they were telling me I was a Nhilist, but I said I'm not. I believe there is meaning to life, and its simple.
Live life! That's the meaning of life, living!
This was rejected as Nhilism to. Then the guy said he regretted speaking to me and said I was supporting a self centered Nazi figure (Nietzsche). I said as far as I know the guy wasn't a Nazi.
The guy proceeded to feel guilty about associating with me, told me I was in league with 'dark ones!' Mind you, I really didn't say a lot here. I mentioned satan all of once, saying I didn't care if people point the finger and call me a devil just for having an oppsing view. I wasn't acting belligerent in any way either, I was just talking, no mention of Satanism or being a Satanist.
By the time we left, he kept up telling me GET OUT DEMON! I know who you are dark one! YOu're in league with SATAN!
I said I didn't care, and I really don't. I even told him I thought he had a funny sense of humour, and he said GO DEMON! Don't speak to me!
So having been exorcised from the premesis, I threw up my hands and walked off, but he followed me asking why. Why what? Why have you sold yourself to Satan?!
I said I didn't, and to have safe travels.
Point is, it doesn't matter with these people anymore. They're just fucking insane. Its funny as shit to me most of the time. I think he did wonder why I wasn't upset about his or everyone else's rejection of me. It was mostly the alcohol at that point anyway.
You present any opposing view, and even if you DO get along real well, people just fuck all anyway and go nuts! It shows how deep these ideas really go I guess.
You might as well take the opportunity for a good laugh.

KGB is a bad Karma, Sin...
Even if your mission on this Earth is destruction, still those dimensions are little bit ugly disgusting too much...
Before Russian Revolution in 1917 that dirt was kept invisible and unexisted... Plebeys rule after 1917... And all that NKVD stems from it

It was a different time. There were also reforms in the 60's and in the late 80's. I don't see why it would be bad Karma for Putin, he defends the Soviet era intelligence to this day because he thinks it was good for Russia at the time. Every country spies, infiltrates and corrupts. I watched an interview a while back in Russian that focused on the criminalization of the Russian economy. It reminded me a lot of how corruption affects the continent of Africa. When capital is constantly sent out of country, it can destabilize an economy and cause collapse.
What specific actions did the KGB take (while Putin was in) that you find disgusting? Can you provide specifics? It would help to understand your point of view.
