that's the traslation of one of my researches, already posted in another LHP forum.
i have taken pictures of an ancient celtic temple, half desteoyed in the medieval age and recycled as water mill.
the building is composed as 3 circles of stones like a matrioska as the outer wall, the inner wall and the altar circle.

In the outer wall you can find a stone crawed, unfortunatly is very hard to read the runes written into.

that valley is oriented with the sun and is an exeample of gallic cisalpine site (one of the three main population described by Caesar in the 'debello gallico'.

The idea of rings of stones is actually part of the LHP tradition such ONA and MLO, but if you have other traditions that describe that structures nowdays pls tell me.

This celtic site is near a gold and quartz mine, that's maybe an explanation why it was and is a very good place to do rituals.

In the local folklore that valley is the valley of the devil , and for the ancients that live in the nearby is not a good place to stay in the night. they talk about strange lights that you can encounter in the woods.

the mill is about 50 meters from the circles, and both are connected at the valley by a passage of stones in a kind of canyon.. like the lord of the rings.

this site is about 50 miles from Milan.

hope you enjoy.

Those are cool pictures, and I can tell you, the cameras hardly ever do them justice. If you have more of the ancient walls, do share. What is the one with the rock, is there some kind of engraving on it?

Thanks for sharing.

yes, unfortunatly the weater has nearly deleted all the writings. you can now seen just a circle engraved in it, and in the left upper corner an inverted 'f' (when you put water).

i have seen the same structure (outer wall, inner wall and altar in the wadi rum, Giordania, so i think that was a tipical design in the ancient times.

(ndr, already posted in italian in another lhp community, that's first time in en)

That it is near gold and quartz is as significant as the site itself. Is the mine depleting nearby environments? As for not lodging in the woods overnight, it's something to brave for the sake of discovery. If you derive power somehow from this place maybe fascinating things will happen. I occasionally visit nearby cliff dwellings constructed within a cliff overhang by the Ute tribe circa 1300. This coincides with the mass disappearance of the nearby Anasazi, leaving behind Mesa Verde, another cliff dwelling. Ancient spots rediscovered are like opening Pandora's box. In this world and the other.

the gold mines are now just old tunnels, you can see little railways but they got all closed nearly 60 years ago.
the actual law don't allow the use of machines for the extraction, so now are nearly forgotten..
good water to drink is better than all the gold.

Can you post some pictures about that site? it can be cool to make a kind of map, or try to connect different sites around the world with a ritual.
