I have not seen the film yet but I did google the trailer and interviews plugging it. Asmodeus is right. It truly is scary the extent these people go through to NOT think. It is utterly astounding. I don't think there is an act that can be performed to further remove you from what it means to be human. It's great that someone within the public eye is willing to openly attack that wich is so widely accepted as taboo but is in fact silly superstitions.

I think people who care to be here will find it eventually. Besides, we aren't a church. It's not as crucial to bring people here as it is to take them out of there.

No. What I meant was it is more important to take people out of christianity than it is for them to visit this very forum where, lets face it, a lot of those people would visit just to talk shit. It would get nowhere fast.
(On another thought handing out fliers while not being illegal may have other ramifications some are not thinking about from the local government... I can see the whole Might as right ideals being called the spreading of hate speech... )
Would that be the case if you merely stated statistics not even mentioning Satanism but simply bringing to light the ugliness and destructiveness of religion? I mean people protest the govt. itself with similar posters and what not.

I've done a few Satanic "counter-demonstrations" when sign-toting Christians show up at my university, but they were all very tongue-in-cheek and not "serious" endorsements (like signs that read "SATAN LOVES YOU" and "SODOMY IS AWESOME". They all come there with their anti-gay signs and bibles and grim faces and hellfire 'n brimstone speeches, so it's great fun to shit all over their mood when people end up laughing over it.
So in my opinion, lighthearted blasphemy is more potent than an all-out armed-to-the-teeth Satanic Protest. Fighting fire with fire like that seldom works, and does little to convince bystanders.
I don't think Satanism needs any soliciting though. Like the other guy said, "born not made". Although some "satanist faq" fliers debunking some myths might be useful during Satanic Panic situations.
But if you want to get serious, distributing pamphlets criticizing the flaws of Christianity and other religions might be for you. Doing it anonymously would be your best bet, since the last thing you need is a pitchfork-wielding mob of Christians running you out of town. (I exaggerate here, but you get the point). I got bored this one Sunday so I hit up a whole southern baptist church parking lot with lovely snippets from evilbible.com.... stuff like that basically.
As for the movie, I would very much like to see it. hopefully it's still out...

Then read and goddamn learn mate if that's what you are here for.
There has been a time that people trembled before hitting the submit button here, knowing that if they'd say silly shit, they'd be ripped into pieces. Now I feel as if I'm warped into some sort of post-modern satanic episode where all is subjective and should be treated equally valid and true.
Some scream like a virgin on her first night when someone disagrees and you'd almost feel bad for not patting someones head and saying; 'It's all right, in your very special way you are right too'. Goddamn save me from the day that especially I should feel the need to defend what Satanism stands for.
I don't need to get to know you, I read what you write and have my say on that if I feel the desire. If I disagree, I disagree but don't force me to treat you like a baby that can't handle harsh words. I still haven't been harsh for a minute here.
If you can't handle comments here, how the hell are you ever going to handle reality?
