S.gal83 S.gal83 lurker Registered: 02/03/09 Posts: 1	I am currently doing a research on Satanism and music. I will appreciate if you can give me a list of bands that had composed music about Satan/Lucifer. I will like a list of songs that are in some way related to Satanism. Thanks for your help.

There are songs that could be construed as being related to Satanism, but they rarely are actually about Satan. Look up the song "Satan Loves Me" by Dan R. Mohammed. SATAAAN WILL RIIIIISE!!!! SPILL THE BLOOD OF THE CHRISTIANS!!!! RAAAWWR!" Although as far as actual Satanic philosophy goes beyond the typical "Hail Satan!" stuff, two songs by an industrial band called X-Fusion have caught my attention, called "C'mon Devil", and "Bringer of Light"

"In Sorte Diaboli" - their first "concept album" - lots of stuff to chew on there, and, some really well played music, I was suprised... and impressed. _________________________ Where we're going, we don't need roads.

Don't know why that is suprising, but I suppose their "intimidating" appearance would lead one to believe they are assholes. Then again, appearances can be deceiving. If you like DB check out 1349. Nearly everything out there is pretty bad. For me, most music ended about the mid-90's when I became a dad and had real responsibilities. I now rely on other people to bring me new stuff because I don't get out much and don't really have an ear to ground in the music scene anymore. Most of their early songs were "skullfuck the Christians!" and "DEMONS ARE TEH AWESOMEM!!!!", but In Sorte Diaboli took me a bit by surprise because the lyrics were more of a long "Satanic Diatribe" that touched on a few philosophical points about the nature of faith, the will to power, and other topics. Not Shakespeare or anything, but still worth it. And of course, there are the classic rock titles like "Sympathy for the Devil"- modern metal music aside.

Long Hard Road out of Hell is indeed a song about depression and addiction. Mansons autobiography and this song share a title. In the book his motivations for naming both the song and the book are laid out in plain english. Also note that this song was originally released on the soundtrack to Spawn, originally meant to be collaboration between Manson and The Sneaker Pimps, the only way this song can even be loosely associated with a literal hell is the story line from Spawn. I.E. the character Spawn trying to fight is way out of hell. Any real Manson fan could tell you that none of his songs are actually about Satan. Songs with titles like Anti-Christ Superstar or Little Horn might lead one to jump to conclusions but if one was to read a little deeper, as suggested by FP, they would see most the songs are metaphorical and influenced by drug use, relationships and self-loathing. _________________________ Ultimate Satanic Bad Ass of Ultimate Satanic Bad Assery PhD Esq.
