Video Chatroom is active!


We are in the beginning stages of beta-testing a premium webcam chat system, full integrated with your user accounts. This service will be available to all 600 Club account members and have the following features:

  • Stream Video and Audio
  • Ability to Create Private Rooms
  • Instant Messages
  • Audio notification of Join/Exits
  • Many other features



Please take the system for a test drive when it is launched this week and give your feedback to help us make it more enjoyable for all. All that's required to broadcast video and audio is a webcam, alternatively any PC microphone will allow you to voice chat. No webcam? No worries, you can still participate in chat.

They're watching us... and now they could be "actually" watching us..

Not to worry, it's software I purchased that will be customized, integrated, and running exclusively on 600 club's servers, nothing ties in with a third party of any sort.

It even has a multiplayer game lobby for games like chess (which I'm a fan of), so this should be a great addition.

You spoil us too much.

Speaking of online games is there going to be poker? I only ask because I believe there to be a lot of fans of the game. Not to mention it would be easier to play here then trying to find people on myspace.

Chess? Pool? You are speaking my language there.

I have no need for a webcam, but games, well I can get down on some games all day long.

I really like the new chat, but few issues..

If you are talking to someone, the next person to walk into the room knows what was said because the default shows the last 5 messages to whomever walks into the room.

So, its not as discreet as the last chat room.

Also, it didn't make noise when someone entered or left the room.

Morgan: You can go into settings to turn on server event sounds and messages. If you want to talk about someone behind their back, you should be willing to tell it to their face as well.

Anni: Games are up in the air, that costs extra $. We'll see.

The chat indeed is brilliant.
But I can give credit towards the people who do not want to show themselves on webcam. Altough it is a good idea, I prefer not to show my face since most people judge on looks. I prefer to be judged on things I write, not on the face.

Couldn't you just wear a Halloween mask, or a paper bag? I'm sure you'd be fine, it's not like we're a top destination for talent scouts here. :-)
