How do you feel about the masked Satanic (?) ball scene in the movie Eyes Wide Shut. I always thought the musical background for that scene was bizarre and haunting. What would you call that genre?
Does anybody know what organization or ritual that scene was trying to portray?

Disregard... I think I am totally off base with the composer.

Will see what I can find.

Thank you Dr.Aquino. I also found out the music was based on a Romanian mass.(albeit in reverse) I thought as much when it saw the film, that it had a Byzantine touch to it. That makes it even better in my opinion because there might have been a possibly that Vlad Tepes (One of my personal heroes) might have heard something similar in his life.

The New Yorker once ran a cartoon showing a Roman-bath-like temple interior. A couple of businessman-types in togas were being fed grapes by an appropriately nubile wench, while various orgiastic activities were underway in the background. One of the men said to the other, "I can't remember whom we actually worship, but we do have a good time!"

Incidentally if you really liked that idea ... My only concern is that the movie of course used designer actors who all looked pretty good in the buff. I'm not so sure that your average adult couple would meet the same ęsthetic standard.

No, the average couple would not be anywhere near as attractive as the girls in the masked ball scene. In a similar manner many guys have the opinion that females who live the swinger lifestyle are drop dead, porn star beautiful. All one has to do is to browse through one of the swinger magazines usually found in adult bookstores to see the fantasy is no where close to the reality.

If you have something to say, say it. This made no sense. Let's keep things within the realm of the comprehensible, shall we?

check out chateauevent.com to see what i mean.

i just saw a "preview" of some super bowl commercials on the news, one of them depicted a young man in a darth vader outfit being startled by a remote controlled BMW. what i got from it was a little kid that wants to rule the world.

the baroness is the hostess of the event. there is mention of "fine wines, etc." and "an alive buffett". i've thought about it again and im pretty sure it is a sordid pun.

i wasnt trying to be confusing, just having a little fun.
