Interesting, interesting...

How do you do this? Do you use a brush, or stylus? Do you let your blood into a small container, or take it as it's welling up from your cuts? Your paintings are very intricate.

I used to try to do this same thing with my vomit, but was quite unsuccessful. Maybe I should try vomiting blood next time.

But in all seriousness, I really enjoyed the overall aesthetic and mood your drawings create. Well done.

Yeah...

That's fucking disgusting.

At least you could make an actual "picture" out of this shit. Here's an idea - draw a picture in your blood, of you removing the blood from your body... then it would mean something - it would be, like, ironical.

(Or fuck it, just make a nice picture of "something" next time - that would suffice.)

Sorry, didn't see the last entries until my post went through... good idea - work with "ink" for a while - a very, very long while. Otherwise, you'll be dead before we see a nice picture...........

What one may find "disgusting" as you may david I find beautiful and artistic in another. Your paintings are beautiful and I really enjoy them well done it is appropriate that you express, rather than repress which undoubablty is poisonous to the soul..

I am not sure I understand the purpose behind
using your blood.
Is it symbolic for some reason?
Just curios of its purpose verses ink?

You have this as your signature, yet you question why this artist/person chooses to use their own blood instead of ink? Perhaps you need to rethink your signature and whether it really applies to your way of thinking.

I found it slightly derivative of the ink drawings by Rozz Williams. Are you familiar with his work? I understand you're going for abstract, however, I don't get any "purpose" or feeling from your work. It's a bit sterile. Criticism is never easy to take, but considering your art is literally an expression of your essence, I guess I expected more substance.

Best of luck with your art.

I mean no disrespect, I was just wondering the reason.
As for my signature I like it, because it helps remind me daily to be an individuality. But thank you fakeprophet for your opinion, I know I,am ignorant when it comes to art I just don't want to be stupid.

To each their own I say. Each man is entitled his right to expression, as is each man entitled to question the expression of others. It's a healthy process.

I personally like the idea of using blood as the "oils" to be put to canvas. It's personal, and isn't something you see every day.

ever heard the expression "pouring out your soul", think about it (not just blood, but the way blood is gracefully portrayed, the pain to draw out and at the same time to express and portray as the artist seemed fit..its only what someone with spiritual insight can recognize.

Blood is come by easy enough, it's no big deal. Nothing special... Unless!!! Unless this particular monster decided on carving his flesh with a razor!!!! That, now THAT would be someting, go on kids, follow along. If this were blood from his... say, femoral artery... then it might be a tad 'redder' if you get my drift... if this is from some pussy cuts in his arm... well, then, you've got to give MORE of yourself when it comes to ART. How about cutting a major artery? Brachial, Radial, oooohh, Carotid... then try to give us a good look at what you've done, if your still alive - in (hopefully) a better style then you've done in the past. I'd even accept a good dosing of venous blood, as long as it's from the vena cavae...

Anyone can get "blood" - by the way... anyone want any blood?

Your artwork has a primitive quality to it... A few of the small designs that you have worked into your art might make good tattoo designs...

Keep doing what makes you happy... Keep doing what you do as long as you use your own blood...

Interesting, using various fluids to paint with or add to painting materials has a long history.
I've done some stuff like that in the past (mixing blood), as well as using egg temperura in paintings.
Egg temperua involves using the raw yellow part of the egg mixed into the paint medium. This was done often in midevial times with the "holy type" paintings in churches, and triptics.
I think that the fluids sometimes just something to the images.

(sorry about spelling rough day)
