Let's see... I am partial to Jack Daniel's/Gentleman Jack. I love Whiskey. It has to be drank straight though otherwise it doesn't taste right. Nice and neat, no ice.
I am actually in the process of trying to learn how to distill my own mead. I've kinda gone off JD at the moment. I'm liking Scotch and Irish Whisky more at the moment. Probably because I got wasted on JD and coke on very little food in my stomach. You don't want to know what happened next. XD

I can't drink scotch anymore, not the cheap shit that is. My uncle kind of spoiled me in that regard; he let me have a few glasses of some scotch that he had imported from Ireland at $450 a bottle. Everything else taste like crap now. Sounds like you have a good story to tell, haha. I stopped drinking Vodka for similar reasons. Empty stomach and drinking don't mix.

Rookies. Drink a couple of beers before. Then you aren't drinking on an "empty" stomach.
I would rather just eat a piece of bread before I drink, if I haven't eaten in a few hours. Or eat while I drink, lol. I can't mix beer and liquor, I get to nasty of a hangover.

I like single malt Scotch. (favorite is Laphroiag 10yr)
Like high quality Tequila too.
And Rum (need to find a favorite still)
As for beer I don't drink it much. But when I do it's Guinness.
