Idiot.

Yeah. It's a one liner, and I apologize.

He's an idiot.

I just saw this a minute ago, Jake. The man's beyond idiotic. I recommend the Red Cross for anyone wanting to send donations as they have a strong ethos of non-partisan-ship and no connection with religion. Haiti fascinates me and I know I shall visit there one day. I created a ten part undergraduate course on its culture as the final project of my Adult Education teaching diploma and had lots of fun drinking rum to the loa - with interesting results.

If Robertson suggested that September 11th was caused by sinning Americans he'd be crucified (so to speak :P )

But since Haiti isn't a predominatly Christian country they must've been punished with an Earthquake for breaking the first commandment! Makes perfect sense :P .

Robertson was sitting next to the Devil when the all the Haitians in that country attended that one town hall meeting and swore their pact. That's how he can quote the words exchanged.
True Story.

If he was preaching on a street corner his vile hatred and lies, you would just ignore him and walk on by. Since he is on television, people think what he says must be true.

Dumb Fucking Sheep.

I just love it!

We do have the craziest Xtians here in America. The Haitians made a Voodoo pack with Satan and he has come to collect. Just awesome. Seriously, you just can't make up this sort of nuttery.

That Falwell article is so depressing.

JERRY FALWELL: And, I know that I'll hear from them for this. But, throwing God out successfully with the help of the federal court system, throwing God out of the public square, out of the schools. The abortionists have got to bear some burden for this because God will not be mocked. And when we destroy 40 million little innocent babies, we make God mad. I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People For the American Way -- all of them who have tried to secularize America -- I point the finger in their face and say "you helped this happen."

No bloody wonder the world is becoming secularized, with bullshit like this coming out of the mouths of Christians.

I can honestly see how anyone could see pictures of aborted fetuses and be disgusted, but blaming pagans, abortionists, feminists, gays, lesbians and the guy that often short-changes you in the 7-11 for something horrible like September 11th is disgracful.

But then again, Falwell is so far into his little box that of course he's going to blame everyone outside of the box for setting it on fire.

Yeah... his box IS pretty little. It's a coffin. He died in May of 2007. Wonder why the hell he took so long.

Come to think of it, I do remember hearing about 'The Larry Flynt Guy' dying.

I certainly didn't feel like mourning at the time and I'm MUCH less likely to do it now that I've read that bullshit article.

Actually, Haiti is 80% Catholic, and its residents are fervently religious.

The 7.0 quake was bad enough, but then the 14 4.0 and up aftershocks is what really fucked it over. Rescue workers weren't able to reach the wounded and trapped for fear of having buildings that would further deteriorate when they were inside. That's going to account for the majority of the fatalities, those who weren't able to be rescued after the initial quake. What a terrible way to die, trapped between chunks of concrete, with broken bones and punctured organs, when you know there are people out there who are too afraid to get in and pull you out.

I've never heard of such a devastating quake, with so many aftershocks of that magnitude. Poor bastards.

Robertson’s and Falwell’s sentiments echo those of the people at the church where I grew up. Whenever the topic was about how good Americans had it, America was said to be “blessed by God”. Whenever the topic was about how bad Americans had it, America was said to be “tested and/or judged by God”. Nothing just happened because shit happens. Nothing happened because people and societies do stupid things. God always had something to do with it.

Robertson is a religious politician (the fact that he ran for president in the '80's is not lost on me). He can’t help people simply because it’s a nice thing to do. Everything is a sales pitch. It’s sickening.

I can not stress the immense hate I have for that piece of donkey turd. It never cease to amaze me that he always has the perfect timing when it comes to saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. His blaming of every thing around him that isn't christian, just to ease the simple fact that his stupidity knows no bounds in wallowing in his ingnorance! If he fucking love his damn all fucking mighty god so damn much and thinks being with the Lord is the best damn place to be, then he should just fucking kill his damn self just to be with his damn prudent, omniscient god.

I'm sorry but this guy just makes my blood boil. I mean I couldn't hate the guy more and he would be #1 on my shit list, but the westboro baptist church took that spot.

I respect them for one reason. They are actually following their professed religion, warts and all. Most modern christians will not take ownership of what they profess to believe.

I don't agree with what they're doing as I'm clearly not a christian but they ought to be the poster children for the faith.

The reason why Pat shitforbrains isn't number 1 is because he's too much of a joke. I see the westboro baptist church as a detriment (one of them any way) to the american culture as a whole. That is something very serious. But I do agree, unlike modern christian, thay at least stand by 'all' their bullshit.

Though I can even argue that statement I just made (about them being detrimental). Because all religion (not philosophy) is detrimental. Because it confines a person to think in a way that they see fit to that religon. So in turn they feel their religion is better than others. I even believe the religions that preach to have equality amongst every living and breathing thing on earth just a distructive. Because no one or living thing is equal. It's like the story "The Tiger and The Strawberry". It's about the circle of life and how one animal is stronger than the other (human).

Sorry if it seems like I was rambling ang got off topic but I was trying to convey to you my thought's.

Pat Robertson is the 700 Club, Westboro Baptist Church is headed by Fred Phelps. They're both whacked but Robertson is Southern Baptists while the WBC are straight-up old-school five-point Calvinists.

The letter from Satan was funnier than I even expected, by the way. If memory serves, I was FAR less offended by the assertion that Haiti's liberation from France involved a pact with "The Devil" than I was by this little gem: in an interchange with Jerry Falwell, Pat "totally concurred" with the statement that the primary responsibility for the 9/11 attacks should lie with...get this...feminists, abortionists, pagans, gays and lesbians, and the Supreme Court for assigning them legal personhood status in any regard.

Way to casually justify the assassination of 3,000 Americans and slap a Jesus face on it, bruh.
