Anyone here seen this "Satanic" movie gem?
Prime Evil (1988)
Cheezy hollywood Satanism meets the finest of low-budget, garbage can horror. If you have been tempered in the flames of poor cinema to the point that you actually enjoy shamefully bad movies, like I have, then this one is for you. Arguably, The most redeeming qualities about this one are the goofy Satan puppet, and that it pulls all of it's ritual verbage directly from The Satanic Bible.

Well, I must add 1972's Asylum of Satan to the list of cheesy Satan flicks - this one even more historic since Louisville's Nineveh Grotto & I tech-advised its ritual sequence; I rewrote all of that part of the script (which was originally Wiccan-barfy), told them to get the Rosemary's Baby devil-suit from Western Costume in L.A., provided Nineveh's altar, Baphomet, & artifacts, and upped the dry ice to conceal anything not-so-perfect. In addition to "Abaddon" falling flat on his [her] face in the first take because of the weight of the costume, "Lucinda" was having a terrible time struggling on the table, since the gag only stayed in her mouth because she was biting on it [try to scream while doing that!], and the ropes were looped around her wrists and ankles so loosely that she had to be careful so they wouldn't fall off.
Plot here, and one crew account of the ritual scene filming here.
When we finally viewed the finished film, however, it was apparent that the non-ritual scenes were somewhat lacking in atmosphere. The hero, upon snooping around the asylum’s greenhouse (?), comes upon a severed head. He takes it to the local police chief, places it on his desk, and says belligerently, “See, I told you something strange was going on out at Specter’s place!” Without so much as a blink, the chief responds, “Yes, I guess you’re right.” Turning to a lone file cabinet right behind his desk, he pulls a file out of the top drawer: “Specter, hmm, yes - looks like we got him for devil worship about ten years ago …”

I'm sad to admit that I did not know there was a 1970 film adaptation of The Dunwich Horror. It's interesting to note that Dean Stockwell also starred in a 2009 TV version of The Dunwich Horror, which can be seen in it's entirety on YouTube.
Thanks for the recommendations everyone, I now have some new movies on my "to see" list. That trailer for "Evilspeak" looks awesome!
It's not quite as obscure as these other offerings, but an old "satanist" movie that I absolutely adore is Horror Hotel (1960)
