I recently happened upon an herbal liquor called Zwack Unicum from Hungary. It tastes a bit like Jaggermeister but without the sickly-sweetness. It's not a shooter. It's also really great with a smoke.

Ah yes, Unikum. I found it to be an aquired taste, but it is quite ok.

Actually, although it is very popular in Hungary (my native country), it is, I believe originally from Sweden. I am not sure if Hungary makes it or imports it, but it is not of Hungarian origin. It is also claimed that it has medicinal properties, and was used for such purpose originally.

I found an herbal liquor from Holland called Agwa. It's made with Bolivian coca leaves. It also has guarana and ginseng. It's a little "mediciney" tasting, but mixes well with Mountain Dew or other citrus-based sodas.

For me: tequila, the only drink I can get moderately intoxicated on without a hangover the next day.
Jaegermeister is good for the effects but that stuff is evil the morning after.
For taste I like Tia Maria and coke but it makes me awfully nauseous after a couple of them.
