I tried White Russian once, but they used milk instead of cream here. It went down real smooth. I managed to drink them all night but the morning after was the worst I experienced this far.

It's a bit like Lumumba, not bad for a couple but nothing to make it an all-nighter.

Geez. Give me whiskey and coke and I'm a happy girl.

Though I had a birthday cake once, (on my birthday, go figure) and it was pretty damned good, too.

My current fave flavor ingredient to cook with is bourbon. Mixed with maple, the two are awesome. There's more than one way to get your taste for mash besides the liquid way.

One of my favorite things is prime rib with a "Kentucky Kiss." Usually you have to explain it to the waiter... sometimes the chef.

When the prime rib is carved, just before they bring it out to be served, they put on a portion of hot, steamy au jus. For a "Kentucky Kiss," you would then splash on about a tea spoon of good, Kentucky "sippin' whiskey." The heat from the au jus and the rib pretty much disapates the alcohol content, but the smoky flavor melds with the flavors of the au jus and rib.

Bourbon maple butter and bourbon maple whipped cream are a couple of my favorite garnishes/toppings. It's funny to see me in a liquor store when shopping for cooking booze. I take like an hour just staring at the bourbon section. Looking for the right bottle, yet nothing too pricey. The staff looks at me like I am either lost or completely bombed off my ass and drunkenly confused.

You're not drunkenly confused? What kind of bourbon aficionado are you?

To be honest, it's really not a libation I drink. I won't turn it down if offered. I mainly use it as a cooking tool. I try to look for the more upscale offerings. Something that has been aged longer than normal. Or a reserve offering. I find they impart a real smokey flavor. That isn't to say a shot doesn't go down the chef's gullet while cooking lol.

Another fine little alcoholic drink:

Kalasjnikov:
Contains - a little bit of strawberry juice
- filled up with vodka
- Some drops of tabasco

You first have the taste of vodka making your sences a bit more active, then the tabasco spices up your tongue a bit to afterwards be reduced with the soft sugary tast of the strawberry syrup.
