I learned pretty quickly where my limit was. I haven't thrown up in about 9 months. We'll see how long I can keep it up.

The Maker's Mark I discovered while looking for an alternative to the sour ass taste of JD. If I can't get Maker's, I take Jim, and Jack as a last resort.

A couple I forgot to mention:

Vodka with anything.
Cheap supermarket wine. It seems usually that the more expensive the wine, the more I hate the taste.

This may be because these wines (usu: over $50 USD per bottle) are not meant to be imbibed immediately. I'm of course talking reds here, as whites and bubblys are more accessible at the ground floor. I personally loathe Pinot Noir, however, one of my best wine tasting experiences was a perfectly aged DRC Grands Échezeaux - it made me rethink my taste.

Don't feel alone bro, whether I have money or not beer and some smokes is all I need. Ok, maybe a shot of tequila or bourbon is good too but that's it. Simple is good for me, and yes it's cheaper.

That very well may be the case. I honestly couldn't tell you what kinds of wine I've had, other than cheap to slightly expensive wines at restaurants. I just know I like the wine buzz.

I generally go with the “liquid glass” of vodka. Russian Standard’s Original St. Petersburg is the best I’ve tasted of the middle shelf varieties. I usually mix it with just enough clear soda to take the chemical edge off the taste -- I’m somewhat of a lightweight when it comes to alcohol consumption, preferring a couple of modest vodka & soda cocktails to straight shots. Just enough to dull the mundane stresses of the day, and take advantage of the restless energy liquor can usually generate.

Bacardi Rum & Coke, vodka with just about anything, Pabst Blue Ribbon beer, Blue Breeze: 2oz Hpnotiq - 1 oz Coconut Rum - splash of pineapple juice (really good) When I drink a well made Blue Breeze I feel like I am on the tropical island that I've never been to. Bubbles & Blue is pretty good too: 2 oz Hpnotiq - 2 oz champagne (really easy, for when you're takin' it easy).

These are some of my favorites right now.

These days I mostly drink these:

-Ratzeputz. A schnaps which contains extracts and distillates of root ginger. Good after a meal.

-Islay whisky. Preferably Ardbeg.

-Vodka. Straight & cold. No ice. No water.

Just over this past weekend, I discovered a mixed drink that will probably become one of my favorites: the Last Chance.

They way they mixed it up at the bar was a shot of SoCo, a shot of Jose Cuervo, a shot of Captain, and a shot of some 80 proof vodka topped off with a little Coke in a small glass. It was delicious, and I estimate it ends up being about 35% alcohol, so not so strong at all.

The mixture of different kinds of alcohol helped me to sing it's raining men perfectly in the middle of a karaoke spree. So, there's that too.

I wanted to ask, what's SoCo? Is that short for Southern Comfort? That would have caused me to walk away right then and there. If I'm going to have a wiskey flavor, it'll be Crown Royal.

If the vodka was around 80 proof it was probably Skyy or Three Olives. Although I have seen a lot of bars using Kamchatka and even though it's 80 proof, it's not near as good as Skyy or Three Olives. Not as clean either.

Wanna try a fun drink?
It's called a Bend Me Over

Over ice in a mixer glass:
Healthy shot of Crown Royal
Healthy shot of Amaretto
Nice splash of bar mix
Nice splash of Pepsi or Coke

Cap glass with tumbler and shake to a count of three.
Strain into shot glasses.

Tastes like apple cider and is called a Bend Me Over for all the right reasons. \:o

The latest craze in my house is the mango martini:

1 or 2 shots of vodka
1/2 - full shot of triple sec
Mango juice

Shake with ice and serve

SoCo is indeed Southern Comfort. I understand that a lot of people won't touch it. I'm just fine with it. I just make sure not to over-indulge with it. All that sugar can make for a pretty terrible hangover.
