Isaak what the fuck are you rambling on about now?... Maybe you ought to consider making your posts a little more relevant and coherant?.. Just a suggestion..

By the way.. In case you can' read or are just too lazy to scroll up and check.. This thread.. It's entitled music, not Ramblings&Stoner Space.

It is a sad day when I can sit here and say at least he has not branded himself... Funny I just glanced at his first few words and thought The Rolling Stones... On further reading I can only assume he is talking about crystals and healing...

I can try to stay on topic by adding that music can have a soothing effect on the mind... I myself work better with music playing in the back round... We now know that other animals make and use tools so much so that the human is now defined as the only animal that makes tools to make other tools... Are we the only animal that makes or uses something to make music for anything other than a mating ritual? Are we the only animal to enjoy music?

Something to ponder on my day of rest...

Ehehey, Isaak. I'd really appreciate if you could not do that, the uh rambling thing.

Another thing, that you may want to consider is putting down the tolkien novel, and attempting a bit of what we earthlings call reality sun....thanks bud much appreciated.

oh yea, didn't mention "the haunted" before, good band though.

Cradle of Filth puts me sleep everytime. Something about the sound of women screaming that relaxes me, no really, Im being serious, not wierd. Nine Inch Nails, Morbid Angel. Live Orchestra is always awesome, we saw a swiss piano threesome lastnight, can you believe they did a version of Fraere Jaqueus so morbid it morphed into a funeral march? Anything with keys really...

I just died, crying and laughing. We're you being serious or was that a hit on Cradle? *Cries* I like Cradle.. Haha.. The vocalist is Dani Filth, A male with a very nice voice I assure you, but has the capability of creating a zn like mixture of pressure on the closing of his throat and the air coming out and the ability to bring his pitch up above normality. He can also bring it to a nice, creepy, 'Satanic' low. The opera in the back in many of the songs (I.E. Her Ghost In The Fog) is of course a woman, I misplace her name but she sings quite well.

I also find Cradle soothing and very ncie to go to sleep to. I appreaciate the earlier works for going to sleep as they are more of a typical 'gothic' orchestral, symphonic sound. I'm talking about the songs mostly without vocals. VEry soothing. Good for thinking as well.

Oh I also wanted to ask. Has anyoen listened to the Satanic mantra, I thought it quite funyn at first. But began to find it more interesting and a fun party enjoyement. It's especially amusing when it comes on and you start chanting with it, and a few people in the room who know it begin chanting with you. The other peopel around you are completely clueless and are in a phase of complete "What The Fuck!!" *Scared?*. They can't laugh at you because it's obviously a group thing and they are a little freaked out at the cult like chanting taking place. Always fun.. Ahhh good times. Good Times.

i did not mind early cradle, and cruelty and the beast is still my favorite album of all time. such and epic story is told in that album and the art work in it fantastic but about the point of midian they where getting really cheesy and selling out for lack of a better word. yay for the pop of bm lol same is true of dimmu their last one sounds like freaking darth vader singing wtf is up with that.

heres some good Canadian avent guard metal or what i call (circus metal) for you i present unexpect. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jAi-JBkebiE i have recently been listing to them and they grow on you great stuff.i just dl their whole album and it is just as fucked and wonderful as this song.

About Deicide? What are they, exactly? I couldn't figure out if they are really Satanist or not, but I do realize that they are anti-xtian.

deicides music is certainly satanic in a theistic/cliche sort of way like most metal. and glen baton has a upside down cross branded into his for head so i would have to say yes they consider themselves or at least like to come off as satanist.
and good choice sivlerray i as well love deicide their still going strong after so many years:)

the only band i know off that publicly proclaims they are satanist is akercocke the rest just like to insinuate or leave the obvious up to the listener.

Cradle has a male vocalist as I recall, they are art history for me, I do like them.

Morbid Angel, Deicide, and Cannibal Corpse are good death metal and self proclaimed satanists if I'm not mistaken.

Though The Haunted are also. I've been listening to a bit of Norwegian Metal lately, I think Blood Tsunami and Mindgrinder are worth a look also.
