I can't tell from the video if it is a projection, a dummy dressed up and in good lighting effects, or a person in the same situation.
I like the way that you start it as nothing but almost a speck of green light with an indefinite form. Having it slowly emerge from that, imagination in situations like that is the victims worst enemy, and it will play into their fears of the unknown.
Leave that at the end of a hallway or alley and watch random people start screaming and running.
I'm curious how you ended up getting that if your willing to share the information.

Well, a good sorcerer never shares his secrets but since this is just a little lesser magic tomfoolery I see no harm!
I was going to type a detailed response but I think instead that a video with the lights on will be more effective than anything i might type.
Pay particular attention to the step at approx 1:27 in the video.. it's IMPERATIVE to get that part right
In my situation, the apparatus hangs concealed in a gable. The figure drops down to between the first & second floor of my house and appears to float. The blacklight & phosphorescent paint is just enough to give it dimension in the dark. My neighbors standing in front of my house thought it was a hologram.
Awesome, some of the newer designs I've seen have tried to be more animatronic, though they lack that smooth flowing movement. A less robotic and more engineered piece like yours can really make a difference and it shows in the quality of the end product.

Very fun Fnord! I've got a few pieces here that would make a good start for something like that. Though with the hours I'll be working, the oldest (the gore child) now gone from the nest, my youngest having no desire to even trick or treat, let alone set up for the holiday, Halloween will be quiet this year for us. Except for what I will enjoy while working at the Halloween store. When we talked about what we were going to do about the traditional holidays, even my youngest's favorite won't be celebrated. I have to work Halloween night (mandatory for Management) and of course there won't be anyone else around to pass out candy, so no set up this year. The bonus will be well worth it though and I won't have to use it through Christmas either! Life is looking up.
Would love to set your set up in person. I bet it's GREAT fun!!
