Okay here is what I feel right now depressed. Everyone can all say oh it will get better, don't worry it all will work out, you know the usual put offs. Well that is all good and all but how can a person deal with depression? It is not like you can help it. It comes and lingers in your mind. You feel like you have no energy and nothing matters. Alot of things went on this weekend that I had to deal with, by myself no help. I dealt with it all like an upright citizen. My life has been delt with a lot of problems theses last five years and no matter what I do it is never good enough. And then people wonder I get depressed. Well I don't want the nice oh thats too bad thing. But I do want to get some feed back on what to do to change the feeling without medication and that thing. What would you do to carry on when all around is bleak?

Well I know this sounds retarded, but excersize helps. I know what your going through because a couple of years ago my dad died and I had to move away from all my friends and my girlfriend. So I went into a pretty bad depression for about three years. Luckily I'm more of a resilient type and can deal with things with time.

I suggest, even if you don't want to, talk to someone close. Seriously talking to someone who matters that you are close to can really help. It's good to let your thoughts outward and let your feelings just go. Excersize helps in producing endorphins which helps deal with the depression.

If you'd like I can help you out more but you'd have to shed a bit more light on how dark your situation is. You can pm me if you'd like and I'd be really glad to try to help you out as much as possible. Stay positive and try to make a close friend. It helps when you have someone who cares.

Thanks piggy that measns alot. Excerice huh. I do, I run and weight lift. But that just relieves my aggression from the day. But maybe i should try to release more endorphins.

Hrmm, well to be honest with you. I went on mild anti-depressants after the first two years of shit. I took them for about 4 months. I stopped and now I have mild 'weird' days but I deal with things a lot better now.

Find a way to vent your emotion, you are active you say? Then why not take up something like a sport your good at or even better, Kickboxing or Boxing. I am naturally a good fighter as I was small and had to learn fast when I was young, so I took classes which would be similar to kickboxing and boxing, sort of what you would see on UFC. It helps. It all depends on why you would be depressed as well. Like I mentioned, if you need anyone to talk to I'm always here. ^^.

And eat lots of fish. They have omega fatty acids, which helps pick your spirit up... and estrogen is an upper for men. so if you have like birth control pills, hormones, or those herbal estrogen suppliments for women on menopause, take them too, it will make you happy. And when you breath, fill your lungs up; if you notice shallow breathing contributes to your depression. And don't think about depressing thoughts. Try laugh therapy. Just think about something funny, and intentionally laugh out loud. It sounds lame, but it works. Or, I have a porn stud friend, he says when he feels depressed he just masturbates, but stops when he feels like cumming, and starts over, because that fills your brain with opiates; but if you cum, its over, and you'll fall back... I'm hardly ever depressed *tee-hee*

Wow I don't want to come off as perverted here but I guess it's inevitable. If you have a lover who goes down on you, I don't suggest the eating tons of fish idea. As for guys taking estrogen, I've heard that doesn't turn out good? Doesn't it make them more feminine with prolonged use?

Eating healthily does help though. If you are eating preperly your body itself will feel more satisfied.

As for the fish, the fishier the better!

And the estrogen, his tits will only grow from it after like 9 months or something, by then, he'll be over his depression; but he'll get silky smooth skin?

The fishier the better? I just gagged. =/. I like fish, but not on my women. It makes them taste bitter and less pleasant, anyway I'll stop here with this conversation and we can get more back to the current topic. =/.

Try forcing yourself to go out with friends.
There are so many htings you could do when you are depressed to make yourself feel better, but it's weird how when we are depressed we don't want to do anything and everything sounds ridiculous.

That sounds like me. And I agree it can be very annoying when that's all people say.. but you have to try and think what it's like to be in their position. Some of them really don't care, but then there are people who do and really just don't know what to say to make it better. The only advice I can give is to think about why you are depressed, perhaps talk to someone, a friend, and/or a professional. It can be hard, but ultimately it's up to you to decide what you want to do to help yourself.
